Scheduling conflict, so I end up watching The Trotsky at Jim’s office, eating yummy take-in lunch from Mary’s Kitchen Port.
Then it’s The Concert at Lars Hockstad with Cherry Pie in the Green Room, merci to Amy; then In the Beginning and The French Kissers at Milliken with un peu de vin served up by Sarah and Barb dans la chambre verte.
Between films, the Fiction Jury chats outside Milliken. Michigan Film Office’s Richard Jewell talks to Jim and Rich.
V. Prasad talks film with a pal. Inside we take out seats.
Humming La Marseillaise, I pick up Larry at the City Opera House and we head to Leland at midnight. “Le jour de gloire est arrive!” In keeping with the French theme, fellow juror Michael snaps this moody shot of me. C’est dommage, but it was such a great film day I couldn’t help but smile. Au revoir!
