The author of Station Eleven, one of the most anticipated books of the fall, visits Brilliant Books on September 16th at 7pm.
Described by Entertainment Weekly as “One of the most buzzed-about literary titles of the fall,” Station Eleven tells the story of a traveling theater troupe 15 years after a devastating flu epidemic wiped out 99.9% of the human population. It is a love song to modern civilization, yet full of hope for humanity no matter what its fate.
Bookstores, including Brilliant Books of Traverse City, are creating their own “Museum of Civilization” in honor of Station Eleven. (See image below.)
Brilliant Books will serve Brilliante sparkling wine from Bel Lago Winery, and locally made raclette from Leelanau Cheese. This event is free and open to all – reservations are advised.
