Saturdays in February, 9:30am-12:30pm, local artist and educator, Anne Morningstar leads an intense art portfolio workshop for high school students at Crooked Tree Arts Center.
This intensive workshop is intended for high school students aspiring to have a career in the visual arts industry. Together, students will work on: compiling a dynamic portfolio that demonstrates each student’s abilities, discuss ways to build skill sets and improve the overall portfolio, research schools and jobs that exist in the creative industry.
In addition, each week students are presented with a mini design challenge that enables them to practice specific skills within a studio setting.

Anne Morningstar is an Interdisciplinary Artist, whose work embodies the arts of Animation, Film, Book Arts and Papermaking. In 2008, Morningstar graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art + Design (MIAD) with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. She continued her studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, where she graduated in 2010 with a Master of Science in Telecommunications, New Media; her graduate studies centered on the management of film, radio, television and the creative industry.
