Downtown Cadillac bustles with activities in the City Park.
Fri. Nov. 23:
5:30pm Christmas Carols, Mrs. Claus reads this year’s Storybook with live entertainment on stage, 6pm The lighting of the Lakefront (1.5 miles) 6:15pm The arrival of Santa on a Four Winns boat at the City Park docks. Santa is welcomed by the Mayor and children, who walk him to the Light Lever where he helps the Mayor light the Community Christmas Tree at 6:30pm.
6:30-9pm Santa greets and listens to the children then retires to the North Pole to feed the reindeer.
Sat. Nov. 24:
10am-4pm Santa arrives downtown to receive children.
10am Toys for Tots “Toy Trot” 5K. Start and finish at City Park. Prizes in each age category. $20 Toy donation + $10 Entry fee. Entry fee includes Santa Hat and Toy Trot t-shirt to 1st 100 entrants.
10:30am Toys for Tots Elfin 1K. Start at City Park with a 1K Elfin Team (teams of 2 and 4). Compete to collect 10 elfin goodies around downtown. Prizes awarded to Top Teams. $20 Toy donation + $5 entry fee includes an Elfin 1K t-shirt to 1st 100 entrants.
11am Elf Look Alike and Ugly Sweater Contests. Awards Ceremony for 5K and 1K races, and prizes for Elf Look Alike and Ugly Sweater contests!
10am-4pm Downtown businesses host Holiday Open House activities, door prize drawings, specials and entertainment throughout the day. Many stores downtown remain open after 5pm to assist Holiday shoppers.
Cadillac is the city on the lakes: Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac, where U.S. 131 and M-55 intersect.
