The exhibition “Land and Lake” showcases two complimentary Michigan artists: Bellaire artist Dani Davis and Grand Rapids artist Mark Bird. LaLa Artists are working with a new art venue in Traverse City, Cherry Cone.
Dani Davis creates detailed watercolor paintings of fish that flourish in the Great Lakes region. Inspired by natural history specie renderings she adds her own delightful artistic approach that results in a detailed adaptation.
Last year artist Mark Bird was mesmerized by the beauty of the Leelanau Peninsula during a week long road trip. So much, he went home and created an entire body of work depicting his adventure. His work is very impressionist in nature, with a wonderful sense of shadow that captures the depth of a scene.
Visit Cherry Cone located 240 E. Front Street to see the exhibition, through July 30th.
Store Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 11am-10pm; Fri.-Sat. 11am-11pm; Sun. Noon-10pm.
