The Jeff Haas Quintet will present an evening of original music and jazz classics by the Gershwin brothers, Cole Porter and Herbie Hancock on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Leland School Performing Arts Center in Leland. The Jeff Haas Quintet consists of Detroit bassist Marion Hayden, Ann Arbor drummer Sean Dobbins, Grand Rapids trumpeter Chris Lawrence, Traverse City favorite Laurie Sears on sax & flute, and composer/bandleader Jeff Haas at the grand piano.
A new CD release will honor Jeff’s father, Karl Haas, known and loved worldwide for his popular syndicated radio show, Adventures in Good Music. There will be 100 advance copies of the commemorative Karl Haas CD for sale at the concert in Leland.
Tickets are $20 available at mynorthtickets.com, by calling the Old Art Building at 231-256-2131, or at the door. Tickets include an hors d’oeuvre reception at the newly renovated Leland Lodge from 6:00 to 7:30 pm near the Performing Arts Center at 200 N Grand Avenue (cash bar).
