June A. Storm of Boyne City will be displaying her watercolors during July and August. She is a retired regional manager who moved to Northern Michigan in 2001. She started studying art over 20 years ago at the Flint Institute of Art. From there, she studied art under the direction of many well known artists. She currently is a member of the Crooked Tree Arts Center, Traverse City Arts Center, Jordan River Arts Council and Charlevoix Circle of Arts and Boyne Arts Collective. She was past Curator of Boyne Arts Collective and Adjunct Board Member. She most recently participated in the Jordan River’s Invitational, which she does on a yearly basis. She has been accepted into the Crooked Tree, Gaylord and Charlevoix juried art shows and has placed in the prize categories. Her winter scenes have also been used by Hospice for their fundraisers. She donates her art to Dart for Art, Charlevoix Hospital and Hospice among others. Her art is in permanent collections in Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and California. She currently teaches watercolor classes to adults in Boyne City and does mini art classes in the surrounding areas. Her paintings are available for purchase.
