Annual drive to collect non-perishable foods, paper products, cleaning supplies and personal care items for use by survivors of domestic abuse and their children staying at the Safe Home, operated 24 hours a day and 365 days a year by the Women’s Resource Center of Northern Michigan (WRCNM). Financial contributions are also welcome.
The WRCNM operates the domestic abuse emergency shelter for women and their children in Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Emmet and Otsego counties. The Safe Home Harvest Food and Supply Drive represents one of the most significant ways community members can help support battered women and their children in Northern Michigan. Last year the Safe Home provided 3,382 nights of refuge and more than 10,100 meals to 119 survivors and their children, as well as all their daily needs.
