The historical and recently restored Garden Theater in Frankfort is the place to be on the fourth weekend of October. This film-lovers festival features leading edge independent films from prestigious film festivals throughout the world. Visits by film directors and screenwriters and other surprises are part of the four-day event.
In addition to the international films shown, short films by students from the Interlochen Motion Picture Arts program debut during the four days. Interlochen’s Motion Picture Arts program provides students with a progressive interdisciplinary education through writing, critical studies and hands-on curriculum.
Frankfort is about 50 minutes southwest of Traverse City, U.S.-31 to M-115 West.
