United Way of Northwest Michigan invites all families to join their Annual Family Volunteer Day, Saturday, November 23.
Family Volunteering Day is held every November with the hope of engaging more families and volunteers of all ages to be involved in their community.
To celebrate, United Way of Northwest Michigan has partnered with Goodwill Inn to support their “UnderPantry.” The UnderPantry is their aplty named supply of new undergarments they supply guests with in time of need. This includes families who may be staying at the Goodwill Inn. Their supply is running low and they could use your help to restock!
Donations of new undergarments (socks, underwear, undershirts and bras) can be dropped off at United Way of Northwest Michigan, the Park Place Hotel, Grace Episcopal Church and all of the local Goodwill Retail locations, between November 23rd and December 13th. Together our families can reach out to those in need and restock the “UnderPantry!”
Family volunteering is a hands-on way to teach children the values of kindness, compassion, tolerance, community responsibility and good citizenship.
