Women's Winter Tour (WWT) is a non-competitive event that features cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, plus a little wine, chocolate and more. It is about having fun and letting your hair down, discovering the outdoors and taking a day just for yourself.
Feb. 1st: Sweet Shopping on Front Street. Spend the afternoon enjoying the fine amenities of Traverse City's downtown, then finish up at the Sweet Sixteen Coming Out dance party.
Feb. 1st: Sweet Sixteen "Coming Out" Dance Party hosted by Little Bohemia featuring the Fresh Fossils, a band fused of rock, blues, ballads and jazz.
Feb. 2nd: Women's Tour takes over Black Star Farms. There is a very "progressive" party planned for Sunday. All events begin and end at Black Star Farm. Enjoy new trails, and a variety of venues at Black Star. Journey between the Hearth and Vine, a Festive Barn and finish at the Tasting Room. Each location features a different food and beverage option.
Sun. Registration: 9:30-11:30am.
$25 Ages 13-17; $35 Adult (18-64); $25 Age 65+. There is a "day of" late registration fee of an additional $10 on Feb. 2nd.
Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Active Women Now, an organization dedicated to supporting local women's resource centers.
Suttons Bay is the sweet little village about 15 miles north of Traverse City on M-22.
