In its 15th year, the Women's Winter Tour (WWT) is a non-competitive event that features cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, plus a little wine, chocolate and more. It is about having fun and letting your hair down, discovering the outdoors and taking a day just for yourself.
The Tour begins in Traverse City with skiing along the Leelanau Trail toward Suttons Bay, finishing at Black Star Farms.
Be treated like a queen as men "man" the course and serve you a selection of warm goodies at trail-side food stations. Afterward gather with your pals and sample Little Bohemia Pub and Grille's Famous Red Pepper Bleu Mac & Cheese, Higher Grounds Coffee, a large selection of soups, artisan bread from Crooked Tree Breadworks, local wines, just to name a few of the goodies! Our friend the Yellow Truck will be on-site to serve you. Even bring a pair of shoes to change into and enjoy Black Star Farms tasting room before your trip back to the Holiday Inn by bus.
$25 to $35 early registration, until Feb 1st online, or Feb 2nd in person at the Holiday Inn. There is a "day of" late registration fee of an additional $10 on Feb. 3rd.
Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Active Women Now, an organization dedicated to supporting local women's resource centers.
