The 39th annual Flea Roast/Ox Market officially kicks off with the Grand Parade on Thurs. at 3pm. The parade starts at Irons Union Church and make its way east through town until it reaches its final destination, The Flea Roast.
Thurs. is Kids Day-free admission; Fri. $5 Per Car Load Admission; Sat. $7 Per Car Load Admission; Sun. Free Admission.
Weekend events include live music: Thurs. 5-8pm D.J. Tolin; Thurs. 8:30pm-midnight Larry Bialik and the Rambling Band; Fri. 4-8pm Silverado Band; Fri. 8pm-12:30am Michatucky; Sat. 4pm D.J. Tolin; Sat. 8:30pm OTC Band and Sun. afternoon TBA.
Amusement Rides by T.J. Schmidt & Co., food tent, beer tent, casino tent, Co-ed Old Timers Softball, kids penny scrambler, bike raffle for 12 and under (boys and girls), horse pull, bean bag tournament, beach volleyball tourney, horseshoe tournament, kids 3-legged race, arm wrestling contest, kids watermelon eating contest and egg toss, Dogman Performance and Dogman movie, gospel breakfast on Sun. at 9am, kids water balloon toss, bubble gum contest, sack race and pie eating contest. Festivities end Sunday at 4pm.
Irons is just southeast of Manistee, off M-55, about 1-1/2 hrs. south of Traverse City.
