4th Annual Barefoot Triathlon at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa

There are two triathlon races:

Olympic: 1.5-kilometer swim ~ 26-mile bike ~ 6.2-mile run.
Sprint: 500-meter swim ~ 16.4-mile bike ~ 3.1-mile run.

Swim: Athletes gather at the private beach on East Grand Traverse Bay and swim in the crystal clear and shallow waters of the the Bay.

Bike: The road course takes cyclists through the dense woods of Deepwater Point residential area, across US-31 and into the rolling, orchard-filled countryside north of the Resort.

Run: Athletes run the perimeter of the Resort property. Olympic distance competitors also venture into the nearby countryside.

$80 per athlete (Olympic or Sprint) online; $100 on site (cash only).

Acme is just north of Traverse City on US-31.
