Event Description

Honoring Women: Character, Courage & Commitment.

March 7: Opening Reception with light refreshments, 5-7pm; exhibit runs through Apr. 11.

March 21: Spring Evening Read, 5-7pm. Oliver Art Center hosts an evening reading in conjunction with its Honoring Women exhibition. The event is inspired by the theme: Character, Courage, and Commitment, and builds on the very positive response to Oliver Art Center’s 2013 Cabin Fever artist talk series.

March 26, 7pm: Humbled Women... well, not that humbled,” is an original play written by Jim Lalas of Frankfort, and the Lunatic Fringe Players. This play explores and pokes fun at some of history’s most iconic women, but it is truly creative twist comes at the hands of an open-minded man giving tribute to women from Pandora to Abigail Adams. Free admission.

Gallery hours: Mon.-Fri. 10am-4:30pm; Sat. 10am-4pm; Sun. Noon-4pm.

Frankfort is about 50 minutes southwest of Traverse City, U.S.-31 to M-115 West.
