Begin Labor Day Weekend with the Arts & Crafts Dockside event, and end it with the annual trek across the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day! Labor Day is the only day that pedestrians are allowed to walk on the bridge.
Saturday you can enjoy fireworks over the bay at dusk, and Sunday night there will be an outdoor movie at American Legion Park, so you've got a lot of choices of what to do this weekend!
And, did you know that the Mackinac Bridge has been designated as part of the North Country National Scenic Trail, a 4600-mile hiking trail that begins in New York and travels through seven states, ending in North Dakota?
