The Blissfest Music Organization is sponsoring a creative empowerment campout over Labor Day weekend at the Blissfest Festival farm.
The camp is for families to experience hands on learning in the arts and features workshops in music, dance, theater and arts and crafts taught by area artists.
Participants share in the creation of instruments, paintings, drawings and all kinds of visual art all weekend long! You can "move and shake" with dance, drumming theatre and games. Participate in the writing, performing and recording of original songs, and go home with a CD!
Everyone can speak and be heard, and listen to each other in the circle as we group up and check in throughout the weekend.
Learn about the plants and animals native to this region and about the interconnectedness of the living world. Perform at the Talent Show on Saturday night in front of the most enthusiastic audience ever!
Family Weekend is a wonderful way to meet new friends, bring art and the creative process further into your home and cultivate deeper connections. Come share in the Blissfet Family camp and learn about creativity, ecology, community and family appreciation.
Special guests are Seth and May who are there to share the excitement of the first annual Blissfest Family Camp Weekend, along with other great teachers, musicians and artists.
We serve dinner on Friday, breakfast lunch and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. We offer healthy, fresh, vegetarian meals and seek local organic ingredients as much as possible.
Family Camp is $150 per family. This cost includes camping, meals and all workshops and classes for 2 adults and children for the weekend. Cost is $75 for 1 Adult and children. Saturday only is $75 for 2 adults and children and $40 for 1 adult and children. Spaces are limited, so register early.
