This week's menu features selections from Rao's Cookbook by Frank Pellegrino.
Frank Pellegrino, the author of Rao’s Cookbook, was invited to work by his aunt Anna Pellegrino Rao in the 1970’s. Now he is co-owner of Rao’s, the legendary New York restaurant, as well as the Rao’s restaurant in Las Vegas.
The original Rao’s, with seating of only 10 tables and a unique reservation criteria, have patrons waiting up to a year to eat the simple Southern Italian food.
Selected recipe books for the 2012-2013 series are available at Horizon Books.
