Event Description

The public is invited to attend a free presentation entitled, Resources for Seniors and Caregivers; the third in a series of three "Embrace Caregiving" presentations on Tuesdays in November.

Cindy Wachowiak from NEMCSA Care Management addresses issues surrounding In-Home Transition and Medicaid.

Sandy Altman from The Brook speaks to matters of Assisted Living.

Melanie Conway, Assistant Director at the Crawford County COA discusses In-Home Services and how to access them.

Charlotte Smith from Mercy Manor and Marilyn Heard from Grayling Nursing & Rehabilitation describe the benefits of a Rehabilitation Center.

Karl Schreiner, Advocacy & Resource Coordinator for the Crawford County COA reviews some ways to pay for services and show you how to compare nursing homes via the Medicare website.

Join them for a stuffed pepper dinner at 5pm prior to the 6pm presentation. The cost of dinner for those under 60 is $4.75; those over 60 eat for a suggested donation of $2.50.

Grayling is east of Traverse City where M-72 meets I-75.
