Event Description

A free workshop for aspiring and veteran farmers, with particular emphasis on women (men are welcome too).

A program on "Farm Succession Strategies" opens the session. Presented by Ellen Fred, with a focus on conservation easements as one important tool for keeping productive land in farming. She can answer questions about passing on the farm outside or within the family.

Following the presentation, there are opportunities for open ended networking and discussion on any topic, driven by the needs and interests of participants.

Network with successful growers, researchers, and others in agribusiness to learn how your new or existing farm can thrive.
