Paintings That I've Slept With: Work by Denny Kline.
Denny Kline was born in Detroit in 1949. He has always had an interest in art and was inspired by his architect father, Norman A. Kline, who provided him with art materials at an early age. His dad introduced him to museum and many kinds of art and he regularly attended Midland Community Center art classes.
He went to Junior High in Petoskey, and was inspired and influenced by art teacher Lou Rizzolo — winning many awards for art. He continued his art education in high school in Traverse City and eventually attended and graduated from Northwestern Michigan College with an Associates of Art Degree. He was influenced in Modern Art by instructor Paul Welch. From there he attended the Vancouver City College of Art and maintained a studio there.
Denny is inspired by all art history. He loves the Impressionists including the Germans. His favorite painter at the moment is E.T. Hurley. Kline is striving to become an atmospheric painter.
