Mackinac Island's 64th Annual Lilac Festival

The 10-day celebration is the first and largest summer event on the Island, attracting thousands of visitors. A celebration that blends the Island’s historic varieties of lilacs – many of which were brought here during the Colonial era; distinctive equestrian culture; fine food, drink and accommodations plus a range of other activities, the festival is one of the Island’s biggest attractions.

The 64th Annual celebration of the lilac includes bike tours, walking tours, street hockey tournament, beer tasting, wine tasting, Coronation of Festival Queen, Movies at the Mission, Stu Stuart Stand-up Comedy Show, Lilac Festival 10K & Lil Lilac Run/Walk, Dancing in the Streets, Grand Hotel Garden Tour, A Taste of Mackinac at Harbour View Inn, Epona & Barkus Parade, dog and pony show, grand parade and much more.

Mackinac Island is in the Straits of Mackinac east of the Mackinac Bridge, about two hours north of Traverse City. Accessible by ferry, airplane or via the ice bridge in winter.
