Old Town Playhouse Young Company Offers Winter Classes in Traverse City: Technical Theatre

The Old Town Playhouse Young Company begins its Winter Session of Classes on Feb. 11. Classes are offered for students ages 5 to 18 in the areas of Acting, Singing, Dance and Improvisation.

Technical Theatre: Meets 1 day a week beginning Apr. 1; Attend Auditions Mar. 11 or Mar. 12 (call to verify time); Tuition $60.

For ages 9 to 18. For the student interested in the backstage area of theatre, OTP Young Company offers classes in Lighting & Sound, and Costumes & Make-Up. These classes are offered in conjunction with June production of The Three Musketeers. Each technical class assists in the preparation and takes part in the running crews for this June show.

Interested students are requested to attend auditions for The Three Musketeers on March 11th or 12th and register for their crew area. Adult staff members will teach, mentor and head each technical crew with class meetings one day per week beginning the week of April 1st. Space is limited for each technical class/crew. Tuition will be taken only upon entry into the program.
