The annual Elberta Solstice Festival is a free festival of local food, beer, games, crafts and fantastic live music, all capped off with one of the best fireworks displays in the region.
Benzie County's premier free music festival is family friendly, quirky, cutting edge and eco-friendly, with some of the best bands, craft beverages and artisanal food around.
This year there are all new acts, including the Grand Traverse Pipes and Drums, Dirt Noir, The Northern Starlets Vaudeville Troupe, Blue Dirt, Medicinal Groove, E Minor, K. Jones & The Benzie Playboys, Cousin Curtiss and late at night, G Snacks.
The popular dunk tank (this year run jointly by the Benzie Democrats and Republicans!), the bounce house, Gross Food Eating Contest, kids games and teen music pavilion to amuse you all day. Stay late into the beautiful bayside [longest] night for the awesome fireworks display.
Elberta, on the shores of Lake Michigan, is on M-22 about 45 minutes southwest of Traverse City.
