Event Description

Poetry by the Bay: The Art of Haiku is presented in honor of National Poetry Month.

Haiku, an ancient poetic style, is a short poem written in three lines. Join local poet, Carrie Cantalupo-Sharp to learn about and try out this short poetic form.

Participants learn to hone their language down to its true meaning before venturing outside to seek inspiration. Then write and share your own haiku and help make a short haiku video clip. In case of inclement weather, bring a meaningful photograph.

Workshop is free and recommended for ages 10 and up; you must pre-register. Website www.suttonsbaylibrary.org.

Suttons Bay is the sweet little village about 15 miles north of Traverse City on M-22.
