The Elk Rapids Area Historical Society and Museum presents "Treasures from the Toy Chest" in Elk Rapids.
Everyone can remember a favorite toy or game. The Elk Rapids Historical Society hosts the 2nd annual Treasures program featuring antique and vintage toys and games. As area families and collectors share their toys the Historical Society is collecting their stories; about church dolls, Buck Rogers spaceships, handkerchief mice, Little Golden Books, dollhouses and tractors, boats and Viewmasters and a chest full of other treasures.
This delightful and unique exhibit is for anyone who has ever loved or played with a toy. Bring the family to celebrate and share the season with the Elk Rapids Area Historical Society Museum.
Dec. 1-2; Dec. 7-9; Dec. 14-16; Dec. 21-23; Dec. 28-30; Jan. 4-6. Fri. & Sat. 11am-4pm, Sun. 1-4pm.
Adults $5, children under 12 free. All proceeds benefit the Elk Rapid Area Histoical Society and building preservation.
Elk Rapids, on East Grand Traverse Bay and Elk Lake, is about 15 miles northeast of Traverse City on US-31.
