Event Description

Artcenter Traverse City seeks to answer the question, “What is Art, Anyway?”  This fun new lecture series features local art advocates, speaking on the topic.  It is sure to ignite and inspire a lively and entertaining community conversation on art.

The lecture series will take place six Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., starting on February 26, and running through April 2, 2014, at The BOX (Eighth and Cass) in Traverse City.  Tickets at the door.

Chase Hunt, local street artist, is the coordinator of a workshop located in an old warehouse in downtown Traverse City.  Last summer during the TC Film Festival, he coordinated a dumpster painting project in collaboration with American Waste and local artists.  Chase will be joined by tattoo artist Ram Lee and street artist Sam Miller.  This is sure to be an interesting diversion from the standard notion of art!

With Ron Jolly of WTCM 580 News Talk Radio.

This lecture series is made possible through a generous contribution by Kathleen Glynn, and by the support of media sponsor WTCM 580 AM.
