Winter Trails Day at Timber Ridge Resort in Traverse City

Catch the 4th annual Winter Trails Day at Timber Ridge Resort. TART Trails teams up with the Vasa Ski Club , Brick Wheels and Timber Ridge Resort to offer free use of the trails, introductory ski lessons, guided snowshoe hikes and use of equipment rentals for those new to winter trail sports.

Brick Wheels provides free use of classic cross country skis and snowshoes on Winter Trails Day on a first-come, first-served basis. There is limited availability, so if you have your own skis or snowshoes we recommend that you bring them. Skate skis are available for rent at a discounted rate.

Vasa Ski Club members are on hand to offer beginner ski lessons starting at 11:30am; snowshoe hikes are lead by outdoor enthusiasts.

After you work up an appetite, head into the lodge at Timber Ridge where chili and warm beverages are available for purchase. TART Trails offers fresh baked cookies to skiers and snowshoers as they come off the trail.
