Event Description

North Central Michigan College’s Corporate and Community Education department offers a wide variety of winter workshops in Petoskey – from iPads to financial security, communication skills to writing and publishing your own story, from sustainable farming to making beer.

Write and publish your story in these special sessions. What’s Your Story? Exploring the Elements of Story. Join North Central’s literature professor and published author Suzanne Shumway and creative writing graduate Dylan Taylor for a 6-week writing journey.

Through readings, discussions and focused writing with creative direction, you’ll practice the key elements in telling an unforgettable story – yours!

Workshops on Wednesday: Feb. 5-Mar. 5, from 6-8pm.

How to Get Your Book Published and How to Become a Children’s Book Author is held Wednesday, March 19 at 6pm. Publishing consultant Jerrold Jenkins explains the details.
