This painting was done right after "Early Afternoon - Norwood". I believe it was about 4 PM and I knew I'd have to paint fast, as the light was fleeting. In this view I was looking southwest, towards the Leelanau Peninsula. There was a big swath of freezing water in front, filled with chunks of ice.
