Pineapple Ice
Here in Michigan, the month of March usually will bring the first temperatures that leads us to believe that spring will eventually get here. But as in this photo, under certain circumstances we will get a strong warm breeze out of the south and it usually blows in lots of Pineapple Ice. It is the darnedest thing you have ever seen!

I've walked Northern Michigan beaches for decades and never seen pineapple ice. Or maybe I just haven't noticed something like this one-foot piece. You have a wonderful eye and of course, the lighting is spectacular!

This piece was probably only about one foot by about maybe 9 inches. It was such a great year to capture the incredible beauty of the ice that builds here in the winter time.
