Leelanau County Trails around the dunes - FIND YOUR PATH

In the past few months fortune has been with me to find a friend who is willing and actually has a goal to check off many of the Leelanau trails. So far some of the trails have been Alligator Hill; the 2 mile stretch of the Heritage Trail from Glen Haven to Glen Arbor (did the stretch from Glen Haven to the dunes twice last year); Windy Moraine Trail and Shauger Hill.I enjoyed Alligator Hill the most traversing the easy and moderate hiking loops. The two views on the easy trail are breath…See More

GLEANING INFORMATION ON A CHOSEN TRAIL - WHAT SITE HAS HELPED ME THE MOST?

Posted on September 14, 2014 at 8:54pm 0 Comments

It is one thing to decide on a hike and another thing to get great information in a simple manner. For me having the directions on how to get there, how difficult a hike is it, a map of the trail, do I need a pass, is there bathroom facilities - I just want it all in one spot.  For me the answer has been:  A guide to many hiking trails in northwestern lower Michigan, most within an hour of Traverse City.…

MAYFIELD POND - FIND YOUR PATH

Posted on September 14, 2014 at 8:31pm 0 Comments
