My Life upnorth
My life in Northern Michigan started when I was a child. I was born in Standish Michigan, and later my family moved to the Flint area where i grew up.
My father and Mother loved to travel and take us kids camping. We camped all over the state of Michigan, and I have so many great memories of this.
My husband and I also travel to many states in our great country as well. I inherited my love for travel from my parents. When my first husband and I were raising our two kids, we also took them camping . My son loves to camp, but my daughter never learned to enjoy it like the rest of us did. lol. But she loves to travel!
I have 4 beautiful granddaughters. Kristin, Katie, Jennelle, Hope. I also have one daughter, Jackie, and a son, Todd.
One of my favorite places to go camping was to the great smoky mountains state park. This is Gods country.
After the death of my husband, I was blessed by God with another wonderful man to love me and to share my love for travel. Ah! God is good. My new life has taken me on travels i would never had imagined. Since we are retired now, we enjoy everyday, and what it brings to us. We ride snowmobiles in the winter all over our beautiful state, and even rode our sleds to the mackinaw bridge and back this January. What a experiance that was!
In the summer months we enjoy our scooters, and ride them all over our area. We fish and just enjoy nature every season of the year that Michigan has to offer.
We have taught all our grandchildren to enjoy the art of "fishing"! They are all good fisherman, each and everyone of them.
my husbands daughters both live in Colorado, Alainna in Denver and Jan in Colorado Springs. We have a grandson, Dante` who lives with his Mommy and Daddy (Mike) in CO. Springs. We get to visit beautiful Colorado every summer for Dante`'s birthday in July.
We live on a small lake in Northern Mich. so we get to fish almost any time we want too. Our lake has many species of fish in it, so we enjoy fishing so much!
Our snowmobile trails are only about 1 miles down the road, so we just drive right to them when we want to ride. You can tell, we love the area where we live in!
This past week we took our annual family vacation to Traverse City, one of my favorite places to go. My two brothers, Bob and Jim were there along with my sister-in-law, Sue, and of course my hubby, Randy.
We stayed at a little motel along M31 called the Rest Wood. It was nice, and the bike trail was right behind the motel, so took nice rides every day.
we took a trip to leland of course. more later.........
We just got home from a 11 days visit to my husbands family in Colorado. Its such a beautiful state! I have some pictures to share with you all .
My son and his family came to visit us this past weekend, and we had a great time, fishing, ect. i added some pictures from that as well.
