Great to have you in the MyNorth Community! I'm sure you know this, but I run through it for every business that joins. The best way to use a social community is to use it socially. If you're using the blog to send to an e-mail list of your own, it makes perfect sense to promote specific features of your business.
But if you also want to blog to the thousands and thousands of people who read this site every day, you might want to consider sharing the kind of expertise and tips that will make people read your blog, admire your knowledge base and when they want to buy or rent, voila, you are who they trust and want to work with. Ideas might be 10 things we should be doing to get our boats ready for the season. Fishing tips. The best boats for certain things. Boat safety. When is an old boat too old. Even what you're seeing out your window on the lake on any given morning and what that means for the boating day. And on and on. They don't have to be long. They just come out of your knowledge and they are filled with info people will read, retain and come back to.
