Today the Michigan Appliance Rebate Program launched. The program is aimed to stimulate the economy by encouraging consumers to replace old appliances with new energy efficient models. The amount of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds Michigan received and allotted to rebates is over $6.3 million dollars.
One strategy DLEG is hoping to accomplish is to push the marketplace towards products that exceed Energy Star standards.
