Hey Tom,
Did you see you guys are on the splash on the MyNorth homepage? It went up yesterday, I think. Great to see you at the nonprofit event.
Hope all's well,
Deb

Hey Tom,
Great to have you here! After only a couple months, this is really taking off as a spot to share info, photos, ideas, pose questions, etc. Your voice will be greatly valued!
Here's the welcome message I send all new members. Again, happy you're here:
Hi Tom,
Great to have you in the MyNorth Community! Just want to let you know how to manage comments on your profile page.
You are always notified when a comment has been posted on your profile page. The link in the e-mail will take you right to your profile page where the comment has been entered. If you don't want the comment to stay up on your page, just click on the little x in the upper right hand corner of the comment box. Voila! The comment is gone.
If you'd like to see all comments before they are even posted to your page, go to My Settings on the upper right side of your Profile page and click on Privacy. You'll see a series of questions, one of which is an option to see comments before they appear on your page.
There have been a couple instances where people have used the comment feature to solicit for their business or their cause. We strongly encourage everyone to remember that this is a social community, designed for people to share ideas, events, stories, photos and videos about Northern Michigan.
If you part of are a business or organization, the best way to get people to become engaged with you in a social community is to participate as a member. Share your events with photos and videos, but also, share your expertise in a Forum. Comment in ways that provides insight to other members as opposed to outright solicitation. You'll not only find that approach garners you more fans and probably more business, you will also enjoy your participation in this community all about Up North.
Questions? Concerns? Send them my way! And it's wonderful to have you in the community.
Hi tom!
Great to see you "on board"! Please add me as a friend so I can see what you add to the site... I am sure you will have some great discussions to post.
