It has been a little chilly up here latley. My wife and I had a geothermal unit installed this fall and it is great - we were a little worried about the prolonged cold snaps...something about 500 feet of tubing buried 6 feet below the ground for insulation took care of that.
This Sunday The Outfitter is hosting the 10th annual Nub's Nord at Nub's Nob. Nub's Nord is a great way to try telemark demo skis, ski with telemarkers fro all over the sate, eat pizza and have fun! All you have to do is show up!
On March 29, there is a Telefest at Crystal Mountain and on April 5, the last day of the season for Nub's Nob, there is a Telebration. The Outfitter will have demo boots and telemark skis at all three events - come out and join the fun!
We are starting to bring boats into our shop - weird. It is hard to move boats out of the barn with gloves, scarf, muffler, hat, boots and goggles on. When you slip on the ice and a fifty-pound boat crashes into you...let's just say that cup and saucer don't match.
What a super winter this has been for skiers and snowshoers and sledders and ice skaters. Our kids have gotten into skating this winter. Not good for mom and dad, both of whom stand taller than average and tend to crack-the-whip heading for the ice while "helping" the little ones learn to skate. Yikes. No wonder I ski.
Hope to see you this weekend at Nub's!
