The annual Perseid meteor shower hits its peak tonight and into tomorrow morning. At peak you can expect to see up to 60 meteors an hour. Given the leaden skies outside my window this afternoon it doesn't look too promising for star gazing tonight in Northern Michigan. Hopefully the clouds will roll out tonight and we can spread our blankets in the backyard tomorrow night and gaze heavenward. Maybe we'll catch the tail end of the show.
If you're blessed with clear skies in your neck of the woods tonight let us know what you see.
