Give the gift of conservation: "Conservation Design for Subdivisions" book

Before I started LandChoices I searched for an answer to over development, or what many refer to as "urban sprawl" (I stay away from this term as studies show some people feel "sprawl" is a good thing-more jobs, new places to shop, etc.). I purchased the book "Conservation Design for Subdivisions" and it changed my life.

If I was granted one wish, it would be that development in rural areas would stop and all our beautiful rural lands would be preserved. But unfortuneatly that's not reality. Land use experts say that 85% to 90% of landowners plan to sell their land for development. And with our country's population growing by 2-3 million per year, development is not going away.

"Conservation Design for Subdivisions" by Randall Arendt opened my eyes to how backwards our current planning and zoning is. More importantly, the book provides an innovative and efficient solution. LandChoices does not make any money off the sale of this book (I don't want to be in the book business as margins at low volumes are awful). We refer you to the author, Randall Arendt, and his website, for ordering (link available on the following link). Learn more about this book on LandChoices' website

If you are concerned about preserving northern Michigan, this book offers one very effective tool. A must read in my opinon. If you read it, please let me know what you think.
