There's a group a songwriter can turn to and say, "How does this sound?"
On Saturday, June 25, the Michigan Songwriters & Musicians Association will celebrate its first year of existence at
Borders Books in Traverse City.
That's where it's been meeting. Anywhere from 10 to 40 people show up. They're amateurs and professionals and music students, says founder Terri Senecal.
It's $35 a year to join and she says a couple local music stores offer discounts to members.
Terri has since helped start a Grand Rapids chapter.
