And she's suspicious and protective, adding to the age in her perspective I think. One of my colleagues thought she was an older woman from Charlevoix, struggling to be happy. Another didn't like her posts and thought she was a downer. As a writer, it was interesting for me to hear these unvarnished comments. It helped me recognize that to them, she was sad. And I hadn't thought I'd written her that way. Also fun that they didn't recognize me in her. Well I'll have to come up with something else ...
