The El Dorado, Cafe, Catering and Events located at 149 E. Front Street in DownTown Traverse City next to the Captain’s Quarters, between Cass and Union streets is the best kept secret in Traverse City. Chef John Hardy, Owner, has over 30 years of culinary experience. He is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He has combined his love for the West with his love for cooking and created Cowboy Cuisine. Breakfast is served, in the Fall and Winter Months, Tuesday-Saturday from 8am-11am. Lunch is served from 11:30-3 pm (same days as above). Local Bison from Oleson Farms is served as well as Slow Roasted/Smoked Texas Wild Boar. We smoke our own turkey and stack it high on local sour dough bread. Catfish is cornmeal breaded and panfried. Country Fried Steak is also popular.
