Traverse City Winter Comedy & Arts Fest In the Works

If you take a winter stroll in downtown Traverse City this afternoon, you won’t see the usual because something exciting is happening! The Winter Comedy & Arts Festival is hard at work building a winter wonderland in the heart of downtown with the sparkle of the historic State Theater aglow, by 4pm today it’s going to be magical.

Plows, are hard at work pushing hundreds of pounds of snow into one giant pile, creating a speedy sledding hill.

Up, up, up it goes!

Just a few feet away, an ice rink is being carefully crafted, directly in front of the theater, I can only imagine how romantic that is going to look tonight, with twinkling lights reflecting off the ice.

Get your skates ready! This rink is going to be pretty big!

Any guesses on what this might be?

It’s a Ferris Wheel, and it’s just a few feet away from the ice rink, sitting patiently, wrapped in vintage stripes, waiting to be assembled.

Get ready for the fun, Traverse City! And seriously, could we have welcomed our guests in any better way than that beautiful snow globe that drifted into Northern Michigan last night?! The weather was just as prepared as we were.

Cheers! & good Laughs
