I agree, there is no substitute for talent. There is also no substitute for hard work in developing it. You may indeed, be crazy, but you are my kind of NUT! I tell people that my success in Horology and in the art of Bonsai, are in large part due to my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. What brings a bigger laugh is when I tell them that the trick…[Read more]

The movie was known as “A Year In Mooring” until they changed it last month. The trailer is intriguing. Some of my bonsai trees, used as props, are prominent in many scenes in the trailer. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Ms. Zurer to help her develop the bonsai artist aspect of her character. She was a delight.Hide Away movie trailer

Bonsai stamps from USPS
Eunice founded the Sakura Bonsai Society of Northern Michigan in 1990. I am a founding member of the club. A few years ago, she decided that she wanted to see pictures of bonsai trees on postage stamps. So she made it happen. She lives in Cadillac, Michigan. -

One of the salesmen at Williams Chevy, took hundreds of documents from the dealership containing social security numbers, drivers license numbers–all kinds of stuff you must give the dealership when you buy, lease or service a car. He stored these H…[Read more]

For what it may be worth, I barely find time to pick away at the books I read. Currently reading “The Killing of Crazy Horse” and am learning far more than I wanted to know about the Northwest Indian wars. And I knew quite a bit before the book….
